Tom Sibal

Tom Sibal joined 88.1 WVPE as the membership manager in July 2015. Tom is responsible for meeting with supporters of WVPE and managing the membership database, individual giving through direct mail, telemarketing, and major donors. He also recruits volunteers for the fall and spring pledge drives. Tom comes to WVPE after almost 15 years as associate director of institutional advancement at Ancilla College in Donaldson, Indiana. Prior to that, Tom served as a news producer for WSBT-TV.

Tom is active in the community and is a member of Kiwanis and the Knights of Columbus, where he volunteers on fundraising activities and has served as a member of the boards of directors.

Tom first learned to appreciate jazz and blues in college when he and his roommate compared music collections. He came to WVPE because he loves the jazz, blues, and news format and enjoys meeting with the station's supporters to talk about how important their gifts are to the station and to the greater community.

Tom is married to his wife, Stephanie, and is the father of three—a daughter and two sons—and the stepfather of two sons. In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his family, participating in school activities, camping, gardening.
