The IU Health Goshen Entertainment Series continues with Envirofest!

Michiana will head to Elkhart to celebrate the environment, sustainability, and all things local this summer. On Friday, July 10 the Elkhart Environmental Center and 88.1 WVPE Public Radio will proudly host EnviroFest, Michiana’s festival for the environment, at the beautiful Wellfield Botanic Gardens in Elkhart. This is an evening event that starts at 5:30pm and ends at 9:00pm. EnviroFest features family-friendly entertainment, live music, local food and lots of fun! Exhibitors create a showcase of innovative ideas, sustainability initiatives, environmental resources and education from around the Michiana area.

EnviroFest 2015 will feature music from The Tumbleweed Jumpers on the music stage and historical performances at 6:30pm and 7:30pm in the Kid’s Activity Area from Charles C. Deam, early conservationist and the first forester for the State of Indiana (reenactor Matt Jones). The Kid’s Activity Area will also feature recycled crafts and activities from the Elkhart Environmental Center and other local organizations.

This year’s Local Beer Garden will be brought to you by South Bend Brew Werks, featuring beverage options from local breweries and wineries for the over 21 crowd. There will be local food vendors to satisfy your appetite and lots of green exhibits to explore! Peruse the booths to find local organizations and eco-friendly vendors, right here in Michiana. Learn about organic food, alternative energy, eco-friendly lawn care and pest control services, and much more!
