LaSalle Council Boy Scouts Accepting Registrations

88.1 WVPE supports scouting that provides opportunities for adventure, learning life skills, a chance to understand responsibility and more.  Area scouting projects provide over 91,000 annual service hours to the local council.

Cub Scouts make new friends and learn new things in an environment designed to help them succeed. There are a variety of activities for first through fifth graders, or those 7 to 10 years old.

Boy Scouts prove themselves in an environment that challenges their courage and tests their nerve. After they've been given the proper guidance from those with experience and know-how, they take their own lead, diving into the rugged world of outdoor adventure.  They rely on teamwork and character to accomplish what everyone else thinks is impossible. Boys age 11, or at least 10 and have completed the fifth grade, or have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award, to 17 years old, are eligible to become boy scouts.  The programs objectives are to develop character, citizenship and personal fitness.

New cub scouts and boy scouts are currently being registered.  More information can be found at Be a Scout.org
