On May 5th every donation the public makes through the St. Joseph County Community Foundation will earn WVPE a share of the foundations $2 million matching pool. This event, this day, represents the establishment of a WVPE endowment fund, providing resources for the station for years to come.
The more that's donated to WVPE on May 5th, the bigger the share of matching funds WVPE will receive. This is not part of our semi-annual on-air membership drive, but a unique way to build our first endowment. We encourage all listeners to participate in the Give Local America event.
Fifty-two charities are a part of St. Joseph County's Community Foundation. While you're welcome to support any of them, we hope you will consider WVPE.
The minimum donation of $25 can be made via credit card on May 5th at givelocalsjc.org. If you prefer to contribute via check or donate other assets, please make your contribution a week prior to May 5th, so that it may be included with all donations received on May 5th.
Contributing to the St. Joseph County Community Foundation during this one day campaign, will provide years of endowment support for WVPE. You may contribute to the Elkhart County Community Foundation; if so, we applaud your support.
