Elkhart Superintendent likely leaving for Vigo County Schools

A media outlet is reporting Elkhart Community Schools Superintendent is leaving his post after six years in the job.

Rob Haworth is rumored to have announced his resignation at a closed school board meeting Tuesday night.

WVPE has been unable to independently confirm Haworth’s resignation. Calls to officials have not been returned.

The Tribune Star in Terre Haute have reported Haworth is likely to replace retiring superintendent Daniel Tanoos at Vigo County School Corporation. Tanoos will retire July first.

There is a hearing for the new superintendent’s proposed contract on May 31st at 5 p.m. at the Vigo County District’s administration building.

Haworth has been with ECS since 2012.
