Goshen school board members will vote on a plan Monday to battle district-wide overcrowding. Board members are expected to vote in favor of the construction of a new intermediate school that would house the 5th and 6th grades allowing the current middle school to service 7th and 8th graders.
The construction of a new school, and added support to existing schools, would cost more than 55 million dollars.
This would call for a referendum vote, expected in May.
The board is also expected to vote Monday on a general fund referendum aimed at operational expenses.
Pending approval Monday, the board will hold a special meeting on Tuesday morning for a final vote on both proposals.
