The University of Notre Dame will unveil a new in-nest eagle cam at their Science Sunday event in St. Patrick’s County on Sunday.
The University says the new HD camera will provide a better angle for viewers to watch the eagles build their nest, lay and incubate eggs and hatch eaglets. The current wide-angle eagle cam will continue to live-stream.
The associate director of Notre Dame’s Environmental Change Initiative Diogo Bolster said in statement, “The eagles are a wonderful symbol of how we can integrate scientific research with care for the environment.”
The Science Sunday event runs from 1-4 p.m. and features hands-on activities on micro-plastic pollution, tree physiology and the chemistry of ponds and streams for kids to learn more about environmental science.
